GALERIE HLAVNÍHO MĚSTA PRAHY

Založeno roku 1963 za účelem sbírání, konservování, studování a vystavovaní českého umění 19. a 20. století. Ve stejný čas také odpovědné za restaurování a obnovu pomníků, soch, památných tabulí a fontán ve veřejných prostorách v Praze. V pondělí jsou všechny výstavy zavřeny.

VILA BÍLEK

• Exhibition: Frantisek Bilek's drawings from 1892 - 1900. The permanent exhibition of this leading Art Nouveau artist was extended this year and now includes Bilek's early drawings. In the drawings from 1892 - 1900 Bilek looked for an adequate sculptural expression for his meditations on Jesus Christ. He produced a large number of studies and preparatory sketches which resulted in his sculpture entitled Crucified (1899) placed in St. Vitus Cathedral at the Prague Castle.
